Dog Show/Performance Organizations:
American Kennel Club (AKC) The main organization in America that guides dog showing and issues the US Championships and other performance events.  You can also find event listings and results for AKC shows here.
United Kennel Club (UKC) This dog show venue, while smaller than the AKC, provides a more relaxed environment for novice owners/handlers to present their dogs.  From this organization, a dog can earn the UKC Champion title as well other performance events like obedience and agility.
International All Breed Canine Association (IABCA) A dog show venue where dogs are evaluated against their respective standard.  A dog must earn "Excellent" ratings from judges from at least 2 different countries.
National Canine Association (NCA) A new dog show venue that supports the presentation of dogs in the US.  From this organization a dog can earn an NCA Champion title.
Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) The main organization in Canada that guides dog showing and issues the Canadian Championships and other performance events.
North American Dog Agility Council (NADAC) An agility venue where mixed breeds and purebreeds can compete.
United States Dog Agility Association (USDAA) An agility venue where mixed breeds and purebreeds can compete.
Canine Performance Events (CPE) An agility venue where mixed breeds and purebreeds can compete.
